Old and New

"Nikki" - recorded winter of 2000 at Sound on Sound, NYC with Mike Savino on bass and Joe Quinde producing and on drums. Inspired by a girlfriend - it's been 'leaked' out on the internet as "Could You Imagine", a phrase she would say a lot. I don't have access to the masters so this is mastered from a cassette copy. Downloads are enabled for the month of December.

And below is a link to a very recent recording - "You and the Night and the Music" from a gig in Ormond Beach. Fran Coraggio on bass and Scott Mariash on drums. Fran began playing this tune a few minutes before we started, and it just seemed like the right thing to launch into.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Enjoy the holiday weekend and remember those less fortunate in prayer or deed. Remember our troops, too!

pic from Jacksonville gig 10-26-10

Here's a pic taken at our gig at European Street Café last month by Cameron Kline of Killer Photography. Cameron took a bunch of pictures - some of them will be up on the pics page soon. I like this shot - there's a lot to look at.

New downloads available

10 of the 12 tracks from the out-of-print cd "KMT II" are now available at ReverbNation. You can use the handy widget below to listen to the tracks and purchase the ones you like. This is by far one of my favorite releases - we still play many of these songs at live shows!

Dolphin Dance @ Arthur's Tavern in NYC '04

I've been meaning to do this for some time - marry this set of photos by my friend Saori Kurioka to music from the show they were taken at. Saori was never happy with these pictures, there were difficulties with the giant mirror behind us, but I think the music brings the pictures to life. And what a gig it was! Nathan and Lieven were my favorite rhythm section at that time - and you can hear how they inspire me on this recording.

Thanks for stopping by! Lord bless - KM

great gig!

The gig at European Street Café in Jacksonville tonight was amazing. Audience was small and intimate, but I don't know that I've ever played for nicer people. Thanks for that! The venue was great, and Ray Lewis does a great job making you feel welcome and promoting jazz. Thanks also to Garfield at the board!

Pictures & video were taken and audio was captured, (in spite of a battery low epidemic!) so take a peek back here in about 2 weeks. :)  Thanks for stopping by - KM
